League Rulebook
I. IndyCar Game & Mod
      1. This league uses the NASCAR Heat Game Engine. Download NASCAR Heat

I. IndyLights Game & Mod
      1. This league uses the NASCAR Heat Game Engine. Download NASCAR Heat

II. IndyCar Events
      1. Race Times
            a. Events are held weekly on Sunday afternoons.
            b. Race qualifying begins at 5pm Eastern.
            c. Races begin at 5:05pm Eastern post-qualifying.
      2. Race Specs
            a. Races are run in Hardcore mode.
            b. Races are run with 3X wear factor.
            c. Races are run without black flags.
            d. Races are approximately 35 to 40 minutes in length.
            e. Setups are open except during some special events, see the current schedule for details.
            f. Restarts will only occur due to a grid or server issues.
            g. If needed a pace lap will be issued as determined by League Officials.
            h. Pit road entry speed limit is 80mph.
      3. Race Scoring
            a. All drivers are scored for each event under their race name.
            b. Registration is required to be scored for, or to enter, an event.
            c. Substitute drivers are not permitted and the driver will be scored under their own name.
            d. All registered drivers are permitted 4 provisionals per season if they are unable to attend a race.
                Drivers must notify race officials before the event takes place to receive their provisional and points.
            e. All drivers must be approved during pre-race practice sessions by League Officials.
            f. If an event unexpectedly ends due to a server crash or other reason the race will be...
                - considered complete if 50% of the laps have been completed by the leader while the last completed lap will be considered the final lap of the race.
                - rescheduled if 50% of the laps were not completed by the leader.
      4. All-Star Race Rules
            a. Competition caution is called near the half way point, drivers must slow to 50mph single-file.
            b. Competition caution race restart occurs near the start of the second lap as called by a League Official.

II. IndyLights Events
      1. Race Times

            b. Race qualifying begins at 9pm Eastern.
            c. Races begin at 9:05pm Eastern post-qualifying.
      2. Race Specs
            a. Races are run in Normal mode.
            b. Races are run with 5X wear factor.
            c. Races are run without black flags.
            d. Races are approximately 20 minutes in length.
            e. Setups are fixed in normal mode for all events.
            f. Restarts will only occur due to a grid or server issues.
            g. If needed a pace lap will be issued as determined by League Officials.
            h. Pit road entry speed limit is 80mph.

            c. Points are not awarded for special races, these are considered exhibition races.
            d. Driver Points System:
                30 Points for 1st place.
                25 Points for 2nd place, -1 point each position following.
                1 point for winning the pole.
                1 point for having the fastest race lap.
                1 point for leading a lap.
                1 point for leading the most laps.
                1 point for finishing in last running place not including a DNF.
            e. Points are awarded to drivers using a provisional in last place based on notification order. (II.3.d)
            f. Points positions are determined in the following order:
                Most Points
                Most Starts
                Most Wins
                Most Poles
                Most Top 5's
                Most Top 10's
                Least Last Running Place's (Stick It Out Award's)
                Least DNF's
                Most Laps Led
                Most Bonus Points
                Least Penalty Points
      2. Team Points
            a. All drivers are eligible to contribute team points to the team they select when they start an event. (III.2.b)
            b. Drivers must "Sign-Up" with a team for each series prior to an event in a series they wish to contribute team points for.
            c. Drivers cannot change teams once they have contributed points to a team during each series's season.
            d. Team points are not awarded for special races, these are considered exhibition races.
            e. Team Points System:
                Sum of Top Driver Points by Race of Team's Drivers
            f. Points positions are determined in the following order:
                Top Driver Points
                Most Wins
                Most Poles
                Most Top 5's
                Most Top 10's

IV. IndyCar Penalty System
      1. Generic Penalties
            a. Drivers may request an official review of an incident within 1 week of a race's completion.
            b. Drivers may request an appeal by the appeals board of a penalty they receive within 2 weeks of a race's completion.
            c. Drivers may request a second and final appeal by the appeals director of a penalty they have already appealed within 3 weeks of a race's completion.
            d. Multiple violations will lead to increased penaltys, driver suspensions or league bans.
            e. League officials reserve the right to implement penaltys to drivers violating general league conduct at their desecration.
      2. Server Penalties
            a. A violation of HeatFinder Public Server Guidelines (V.1.b). -10 Points per violation
            b. A violation of SpeedSims Ventrilo polices (V.2.c). -10 Points per violation
            c. Overriding league officials in control of an event server. League ban.
      3. Race Penalties
            a. Reckless driving that affect another racers performance. -5 Points per violation
            b. Recklessly blocking another driver and affecting their performance. -5 Points per violation
            c. Endangering another driver with on-track actions affecting their performance. -2 Points per violation
            d. Forcing another driver into a road course penalty trap. -1 Point per violation, Victim +2 Seconds per trap
            e. Recklessly re-entering the racing surface from the apron or off-track affecting another racers performance. -5 Point per violation
            f. Failure to use access roads or aprons to enter or exit pit road. -1 Point per violation
            g. Failure to yield to the pit road entry speed limit (II.2.h). -1 Point per violation
      4. Special & All-Star Race Penalties
            a. Reckless driving that affect another racers performance. -1 Second per violation
            b. Recklessly blocking another driver and affecting their performance. -1 Second per violation
            c. Endangering another driver with on-track actions affecting their performance. -1 Second per violation
            d. Forcing another driver into a road course penalty trap. Victim +2 Seconds per trap

V. Servers
      1. Race Server
            a. Events are held in HeatFinder Public Server 1. IP - 1.heatfinder.net
            b. Please respect the HeatFinder Public Server guidelines. View Guidelines
      2. Chat Server
            a. Ventrilo "voice" chat is provided by SpeedSims. IP - 68.232.167.202    Port - 4251    Password - speedsims
            b. Voice chat is permitted and encouraged during our events.
            c. Please respect SpeedSims policies. (Use civil language and behave civilly, don't make accusations regarding racing events.)

VI. Administration
      1. Drivers must be approved by league officials during pre-race practice sessions before being allowed to start an event or submit a custom car.
      2. Drivers are allowed one custom car per series per season, the car is to be posted on the Paints page at least five days prior to its use.
      3. All Drivers are reviewed by one member of the Review & Appeals Board following every league event.
      4. League Administration

      5. Officials reserve the right to modify or add any rules at any point prior to a league event.
